So Kurtzman and company were trying to humanize the Klingons!?!? Remember this: Whenever a well established sci-fi, or fantasy property gets a new head creative person, who states they intend to "humanize" the characters, what they really mean, is that they have little to no knowledge or understanding of the characters, or they do in fact have a little bit of those things and they arrogantly think they can make them "better".

Its sad that in order to get hopeful, inspiring Star Trek again we have to rely on a kids show with piddly budgets while the dark, hateful, "adult" Star Trek gets all the money...

Basic critical thinking and questioning vs authoritarian attitude. Too bad we don't see more of this in our society, but then, if we did, our society wouldn't work to enrich the rulers, would it?

Best one yet! Hopefully Netflix picks up lower decks it was a shame it got cancelled.

Plus, a 1000× Greater effort exerted than any of the rest of it, due to the baby-tricycle-budget given the first series and "space race"-day ambition and vision of the creators. and 1960s Heart. The only thing about this story: Picard was done over by the Borg, so it's hard to fathom how the Cardassians could have come up with anything even comparable to how completely they violated him then.

Apparently, Picard should have kept his mouth shut. Then maybe Data wouldn't have died for him in Nemesis. :(

I hate only being able to say.... damn... ten years too late - here. Why can't we get this somewhere? (sigh) Plus, what does this say about Paramount's lack of commitment when I've been a fan my whole life and only recently discovered this and only after a clue, a trail and with diligent searching, other StarTrek etceteras! It's survival doesn't say much about Paramount's commitment, but more about the persistence of fans who keep coming back and being forced to give up until the next cycle... (sigh) At least we're on a fairly decent run right now 2024. Sadly, I'll exhaust this site in short time; but thanks to the persistence of the internet.... perhaps at least I have it till I'm the one who is no longer around. Besides Picard Season 3 one of the best "Star Trek" Series we got in years...

So rudimentary yet so much depth and detail at times. Some of the dialogues were pretty good. I didn't like TOS when I watched it first time but now it's one of my favourites, despite its many flaws. The humour is really good and very human as well; only DS9 compares to TOS imo. TNG was interesting and good but quite sterile, Voyager was a meh average in everything (maybe better chicks); Enterprise was just a shadow of the original and it ended there.

Shut up, Wesley.

I am a fan of Star Trek however I very much dislike these remastered versions with graphics that differ from the original. Let a work stand on its own merit and let it be seen for what it was. This unfortunately has been a trend not only with shows like this but with music. Remastering it into something that it originally wasn't for me detracts from the work.

Great episode Trelan was awesome

Back then I was the biggest Trekkie I knew (in the UK at the time). I remember when I first saw this episode on TV, what an incredible moment, a bit confusing in the beginning with Sisko talking to the camera, but when I realized at the end it was just a personal log to himself, I was gobsmacked.
